* Blades are crafted using one of two methods: stock removal or hand forging. The manufacturing method is selected based on the knife's design, the customer's preferences, and budget. Regardless of the method used, every blade is professionally heat treated through quenching and tempering to achieve the desired hardness and performance.
Railroad clip knives are always hand forged. Because hand forging is a more labor-intensive process, forged knives carry a modest additional charge.
Both methods produce durable, high-quality handcrafted knives. The difference is in how the blade is shaped—not in the care taken to build it.
